Library Classes

The Franklin County Public Library offers many programs that are free and open to the public. In addition to these regular programs, check our Events Calendar for even more adventures at your library!

Book Chat: Individuals bring in what they are presently reading and discuss them.  This offers ideas for others about what to read in different genres.
Eastpoint – 1st Tuesday each month at 1:30 P.M.
Carrabelle – 2nd Thursday each month at 5:30 P.M.

Yoga: Any age interested in learning Yoga and meeting like-minded individuals meet for this exercise program with video instruction.  Participants must bring personal mat or towel.
Carrabelle – Mondays at 4:00 P.M., Wednesdays at 4:00 P.M., Fridays at 4:00 P.M.

Yin Yoga w/Instructor: Denise Williams leads this type of Yoga involving poses and stretching for adults.  Participants must bring personal mat or towel.
Eastpoint – Tuesdays at 4:00 P.M.

Writers Forum: A writing group for beginning and established writers.
Eastpoint – 3rd Wednesday of each month at 1:00 P.M.

STEAM:  This program is for Pre-teens ages 8 to 12. The pre-teen ages are not little and not quite teens; but have interest in so many topics! FCPL wants to challenge these tween minds with a weekly program that will continue to spark their interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. The programs are interactive and involve projects that are free and no registration is required. Students under age 10 must have a parent/caregiver in the vicinity of the Library. STEAM2: This program is for the younger minds ages 5-7. The weekly interactive programs provide activities to introduce students to potentially new interests in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. All Steam programs are designed to promote literacy. Children’s programs are free and no registration is required. Students under age 10 must have a parent/caregiver in the vicinity of the Library. MakerSpace Club:  This program is for ages 5 – 13. What is a MakerSpace Club? A makerspace is a place where students can gather to create, invent, tinker, explore and discover using a variety of tools and materials. All programs are designed to promote literacy. Children’s programs are free and no registration is required. Students under age 10 must have a parent/caregiver in the vicinity of the Library.
